11 charging stations, a clear evaluation scheme

For its buyer’s guide, the Elektroautomobil editorial team compared 11 mobile charging stations with at least 11 kW of charging power. 20 features were rated in two blocks: How well is the device suited as a mobile charging station for use on the go? And how well does it replace a permanently installed wallbox? A price rating was added on top.

The result: 70 out of 100 points

Overall score 70 100

With 70 points, the NRGkick is clearly ahead of the Juice Booster 3 air (60 points) and the go-e Charger Gemini flex (52 points). The editors’ conclusion begins with the sentence: “The NRGkick is the most versatile charger.” It offers everything one would expect from a mobile charging station – and is suitable for home charging, fleet drivers, and owners of a photovoltaic system alike.

For context: in the two sub-ratings, the category wins went to the Juice Booster 3 air (mobile use) and the go-e Charger Gemini flex (wallbox). Across all features combined, the NRGkick comes out on top.

One charging station for every use

Elektroautomobil shows what matters depending on the use case. Here is how the NRGkick covers each one:

You mostly charge at home

A red three-phase socket in the garage is all you need: plug in, charge, done – no electrician needed. The app connects via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, the energy meter is built in, and the cable comes in 5, 7.5 or 10 m. Especially handy for renters: when you move, you simply take your charging station with you.

You’re on the road a lot

The NRGkick scored full marks for optional connections: there is a matching plug adapter for practically every socket in Europe, and switching is quick. With IP67, IP69K and IK10, it is built tough and operates from −40 to +70 °C. For countries like Norway, there is a dedicated mode for IT grids.

You work in a workshop

Where speed matters, the NRGkick 32A charges at a CEE-32 socket with up to 22 kW – provided the vehicle can take that much.

You drive a company car or manage a fleet

Energy meters, load management and OCPP connection (optional) make the NRGkick suitable for businesses. With Charging4Fleets there is a dedicated program for company fleets. For legally sound billing in Germany, you need a MID-compliant meter. We are already working on this: The NRGkick MID Business, which Elektroautomobil has already featured, is in preparation.

You want to charge your own solar power

With the PV upgrade, the NRGkick charges with surplus power from your PV system. Automatic phase switching means charging can start even with little sunshine, and via the HEMS connection it communicates with your energy management system.

Two test wins in one year

The Elektroautomobil comparison is not the only success of 2026: in the test by electricar and DIE TESTER, the NRGkick 16A also came out on top with 95.44 %. Two independent tests, two different methods – one result.

Conclusion

Whether at home, on the road, in the workshop or in a company fleet: the NRGkick adapts to your everyday life. That is exactly what Elektroautomobil rewards with the overall win. The flexible wallbox.
