With the NRGkick Smart Service “OCPP”, charging data for billing can be transmitted via the ChargePoint protocols. Several charging network providers are already preconfigured in the NRGkick app and more are being added all the time.
How does OCPP work?
OCPP, the Open Charge Point Protocol, is an open communication protocol for electromobility. It regulates the exchange of data between electric vehicles and charging stations. OCPP enables the central control of charging stations by so-called charge point operators (i.e. the operators of the charging networks), the exchange of data during the charging process and the authorization of users. The openness of the communication standard promotes interoperability between different charging system manufacturers and facilitates the integration of charging stations into energy management systems.
